Lord Nelson's Pub

The pictures above are from Sydney's Oldest pub, our first destination, and let me tell you it is the kind of bar I would like to have back in the neighborhood. The pizza is topped with pumpkin and goat cheese, complemented by two glasses of Nelson's Blood, a rich homemade porter, brewed on the premises.  The interior is dark and cozy, and attracts an interesting mix of locals and wanderers.
But the best treat of all was to observe at the next table a lively and happy family, one of whom looked and acted so much like my granddaughter Mia, that it took my breath away. They could so easily be sisters.  Mia's Down Under twin is named Jamelia, also clelbrates her birthday in mid January and is kinetic and high spirited in the same way.
